Learn More About Jeremy →Understanding the Path to Election Victory
The 2026 election for Kerr County Commissioner Precinct 2 follows a unique path. On March 3rd, Republican voters will choose between Mike Allen and Rich Paces in their primary, while no Democratic candidates filed for the race. As an independent candidate, Jeremy will be collecting signatures from March 4th through June 25th to secure a spot on the November ballot.
The general election on November 3rd will feature just two candidates: the Republican primary winner and Jeremy Walther running as an independent. This means all Precinct 2 voters—regardless of primary participation—will have a choice between traditional party politics and independent leadership focused on practical solutions for Kerr County.
To qualify for the ballot, Jeremy needs 273 valid signatures from Precinct 2 voters who do not vote in the Republican primary. If you're interested in supporting a candidate focused on local issues that matter to people in Kerr County, we'll be hosting Lawn Chair Forums throughout the signature collection period where you can learn more and sign the petition.
How to Register to Vote in Texas
Jeremy explains the voter registration process in Texas and how to ensure you're registered and ready to participate in upcoming elections. Whether you're a new resident, first-time voter, or need to update your registration after moving, understanding the process is the first step to making your voice heard.
Texas requires voter registration at least 30 days before an election. Make sure your registration is current and accurate so you can participate in county, state, and federal elections.
Register to Vote in Texas →Understanding Kerr County Voting Precincts
Jeremy explains Kerr County's voting precinct system and how to find your precinct using the City of Kerrville's interactive GIS mapping portal. Understanding which precinct you're in is essential for participating in the democratic process and knowing which races appear on your ballot.
The interactive map shows precinct boundaries throughout Kerr County, helping voters identify their precinct number and understand the geographic areas each commissioner represents.
